Oro-motor skills and gross motor abilities in children with diplegic cerebral palsy following electrical stimulation

Feeding difficulties are common in children with diplegic cerebral palsy (CP). Swallowing difficulties, extended feeding times, poor postural control, frequent chocking/coughing, trouble drinking, and vomiting the most challenges. The dysfunctional daily eating activities among these population result reduced quality of life, limited functional performance, they become dependent oral health care mealtimes.The specific nature severity problems may differ to some degree, relation sensorimotor impairment, gross fine motor limitations. This study was conducted investigate effect electrical stimulation on oro-motor skills abilities find out if there a relationship between them. Eighteen aged from 3 5 years both sexes participated this study. They received designed physical therapy, oromotor exercises for 60 minutes followed by 40 minutes. treatment two sessions per week three successive months. Data obtained groups pre post regarding Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM-88), Oral Assessment Scale (OMAS).
